A Life-Changing Mentor: Donato’s Impact on Our Journey
About 5 years ago, I was looking for an English tutor to help my daughter strengthen her language skills. Through a friend, I was introduced to Donato — a friend of a friend living in Canada — and we began online classes together.
Donato proved to be much more than just an English teacher; he was an exceptional mentor.
We had classes twice a week during the COVID-19 pandemic — a time when everyone was home, isolated, and craving meaningful connections. It turned out to be a perfect opportunity not only for language learning but for personal growth as well.
Our sessions quickly went beyond vocabulary and grammar. Donato taught us how to live — how to work hard, fight for what matters, and pursue life with purpose and passion. He constantly encouraged us and pushed us to move forward.
At the time, my daughter was 13 years old. She was passionate about drawing and basketball. Donato’s uplifting words and heartfelt encouragement gave her the confidence to take both seriously. Her progress was significant, and she became much more focused and dedicated in both areas.

With the strength and motivation I gained from Donato, I went on to establish a sports club dedicated to empowering young girls. I’ve since helped change the lives of nearly 200 girls, introducing them to basketball and guiding them through their athletic journeys.

I am truly grateful to have met this noble human being during such a critical phase in my daughter’s life.
